Weekend Recap

This past weekend was a good one.
On Friday, my Mother-in-law and I went to the Southern Christmas Show. My mother watched Isla so that I could go and just enjoy the afternoon with no worries. It was such a treat. Every year, the show usually kicks off the Christmas spirit.  It's kind of like a tradition for most here in the South. After leaving the show, it definitely put me in the mood for Christmas. We've always waited until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate but with Isla being at the sweet age of 18 months and her infatuation with lights, we thought we would put up the decor a week early. The kids are definitely enjoying it.

 On Saturday, we had our family photos taken by the talented Allison Kuhn Photography. It was the perfect day. Allison is my absolute FAVORITE when it comes to photography. She has an eye for detail and shoots from mostly film.  Her Instagram feed is so dreamy. Here's a sneak peak into our photoshoot from Saturday.  Her passion for what she does definitely shows in the moments she captures. I am forever grateful for these photos.

Sunday, it rained ALL day here so we spent the entire day inside decorating, baking and cooking.  I made THIS recipe that Casey Wiegard shared on her blog last week. Fresh green beans are like french fries to me.  I could eat them all day, every day. This recipe is definitely one to try.

I also got to spend some time on Pinterest.
Don't you just love this dress?  It's such a feminine LBD.  I have been waiting for this dress to go on sale.  It's currently sold out online as of this morning. {sigh}

Wishing everyone a very happy and safe Thanksgiving!!
