Happy Father's Day: A letter to my Husband

Dear Douglas,

It's been an adventure these past 6 1/2 weeks, right?

Over the years, I have watched you grow, learn and thrive as a step-dad to my little Grant...and I have seen him learn, thrive and grow to love you right back and that melts my heart.
This Father's Day, our daughter will be almost 7 weeks old and I have found myself falling in love with you more and more each day because you make the most incredible, passionate, caring and loving dad to our sweet little girl.

I can never say thank you enough for ALL that you do.  Not only how hard you work at your job, but everything else you do for us.  Motherhood would not be the same for me without your tireless help....and it certainly has been tiring, I know!!

I am so blessed to have you as my husband.  I mean, what wifey out there can honestly say their husband pitches in so much with baby duty?  And how blessed is Isla to have a Daddy who's not afraid of diaper changes, poo and spewed milk?

I love how everyone says that Isla looks so much like you, and I am starting to see that she is natured so much like you too.  God knew I needed easygoing in my life! Ha!!

I had no doubt you'd be an amazing Dad to our sweet girl.
You are her everything. My everything.  Our everything. A strong, gentle Husband, Dad and Step-dad that we look up to and go to for comfort and are always put at ease in your arms.

I just don't know what to say other than "thank you" a million times over.  You truly are my partner in parenthood, and for that I am so thankful.
Happy Father's Day, My Love!

Your Wife
