Happy Seven Months: Isla Rose

   There is so much light in you darling

Dear Sweet Isla Rose,
Each month, we find more reasons to love you.
I still reflect back on that moment, May 1st at approx 9:57 am when I heard your sweet cry for the very first time and today that cry still gives me the same feeling of overwhelming love and happiness.
Your beautiful eyes captivate me every day, your gummy smile makes me giddy and
I still spend numerous nights staring at your face when you sleep thanking God for blessing us with your sweet soul. Your laugh is the neatest and I love the way you touch our faces with your hands as it's your way of loving on us.
Without a doubt, 2013 has been one of the best years of my life (and your Daddy couldn't agree more).  Because of you, I am a changed person, a stronger person, a more humble person, more patient, stronger in my faith and beliefs.  Because of you, I know what the deepest meaning of love is (besides the love I have for your Daddy and brother).  You've stretched my heart to the limit where I have no choice but to BELIEVE and surrender to the magic that is tangled up in every single minute I spend with you.  Every day is filled with beautiful moments that I wish I could bottle up and keep forever but the fact that you are growing up and seeing you making your milestones is so fun to watch.
Month Six was full of changes for you.  One of the big one's was your two teeth coming in, the other was starting you on stage one foods and juices, another cute one was that you finally found your toes!!  We enjoy watching you reach for them and wiggle those twinkle toes around in your mouth. You're now in size three diapers.  You are 21 pounds, 8 ounces and 26 inches long and beautiful.  {Yes, she's a big baby girl  We know!  And we love every ounce of your little rolls of love.}

Some of her favorites:  Sophie the Giraffe, Jungle Swing, Sleep Sheep, BlaBla Dolls, Piano Kick Play Mat,  Balls that light up and any toy that lights up.  She is fascinated by the light.
Isla Rose is still not sitting up on her own or crawling.  We are working hard every Thursday (and beyond that) with two different therapist for her vision and Theraplay for her physical movements and these sessions not only teach Isla Rose but it teaches us, as parents, what things we need to be doing to help her rise to the tasks she is given.  I will say that she has started rolling from side to side and has started to roll over on her tummy (with a little help) and keeping her head raised. We're very proud of her this month as she has overcome a lot and is growing so strong and filling our hearts with proud and grateful hearts.

God has been so good to us. He has a plan. We just have to walk boldly in it.
We love you so much Isla Rose
To the Moon and Back.
xo,
Mommy, Daddy and Big Brother Grant
