Birth Announcements by Kelli Murray Art

I wanted to share William's sweet Birth Announcements with you all.

You may know Kelli from her adorable kids clothing line, Rylee & Cru, that launched a few years ago.  She's one of the sweetest people I know!!  Kelli also has her Etsy Shop called Kelli Murray Art.  I've filled my walls with her art and illustrations for years now, including Isla's and William's nurseries. So, if you ever need special invitations, announcements, or any kind of special card stock, Kelli is amazing to work with.

Welcome to the World Baby William

Meet William Douglas Hightower IV

Born March 17th, 2017 at 12:53pm
7 pounds, 9.6 ounces
19 inches long

Proud Big Brother & Big Sister
Grant Harrison
Isla Rose

William came into the world via c-section at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC.
The delivery went smooth and the whole team of doctors and nurses were amazing to us.
I will never forget the moment they pulled him out and showed him to us. He was beautiful! He was such a cute, quiet little fella.  Just a whimper and the softest little cry.  We were completely in love all over again.  It's amazing how you can love someone so much when you've only known them for moments.

Grant and Isla Rose are so in love with him and are adjusting well.  Grant constantly giggles at how cute and little he is and Isla Rose can't stop kissing and smelling him.  It's so much fun watching them interact with Baby William.  I still can't get over that we are a family of FIVE.  I never in a million years thought I would be saying that but I feel so blessed to be able to. My mama heart is so full of love for this family of mine.  God is good.

Thank you for all so much for the love and support during our pregnancy and delivery.
We are totally smitten with our little love, William.

Easter Cookies

I am not much for cooking or baking but when I saw THIS recipe from my fellow friends over at Baubles & Backdrops, I knew I had to give it a try myself.

The recipe was super easy to follow and it only took about 30 minutes to put together (including the baking time).  These cookies didn't make it through the day. They were completely devoured moments after they came out of the oven.

One Box of Funfetti Cake Mix

1/3 Cup of Veggie Oil

2 Eggs

3 Tbsp of Easter Sprinkles (I found mine at Target)

1 - 1/3 Cups of Easter M&Ms

Preheat oven to 350

In a bowl, combine cake mix, eggs and oil then mix with a spoon thoroughly

Add sprinkles to dough and continue to mix by hand

Then shape the dough into 1" balls and place them two inches apart on a baking pan lined with parchments paper

Bake for 7 minutes

If you have any M&M's left over, you can gently place some on top of each cookie

Spring Fashion Favorites with Nordstrom

I love how the tucics/tops are so versatile to wear over jeans or leggings. With all this crazy weather we've been having in the South, it's been warm enough to wear them.  You can wear them as a dress with booties or over a pair of jeans.  I've been wearing them over my maternity jeans lately and plan to wear them as a dress post baby.

I love these joggers and leggings.  The colors are SO fun plus they are so comfy. I just want to live in them every single day.  One of my favorites from these is the Lilac joggers. Every mama needs these in her life.

I've had a sneaker obsession lately. A few of my other favorites have been linked through my instagram if you follow along there.

A girl can never have too many accessories!  These are just a few favs.

Mustela Prenatal Skincare

I am in the home stretch of this pregnancy with only a little less than four weeks to go and I wanted to share with you what skincare reinforcements I have been relying on throughout this pregnancy.

I have used quite a few different skincare lines throughout each pregnancy and this time around I stuck to one brand using a few particular products from the line that have kept my skin and the bump feeling moisturized.  I have used Mustela Products on both of my children but I had not tried the skincare line for mamas so I was excited to give these a try throughout this pregnancy and I am so glad that I did.

A few things I love about this product line is the fact that they were developed in collaboration with pediatricians and dermatologists and the products are safe with natural ingredients and free of parabens.  I have been using the Stretch Mark Prevention Cream, the Bust Firming Serum, the Stretch Mark Prevention Oil and the Soothing Moisturizing Cream. All of which I've used on a daily basis morning and night.  I love the nice clean smell these products have and my husband loves the way they smell on me.  I really love the oil. I have severely dry skin so this has been a lifesaver for me.  It's also been good to use at night when I ask the hubby to rub me down when I've had these not so wonderful pregnancy aches and pains.  I seriously love him in those moments because I know at the end of the day he's tired from work and he is the one that really needs the rubdown!!
I plan to continue to use these products through my postpartum as my body gets back on track and back to normal.  This product line has truly made my skin feel refreshed, clean and super soft. The bonus is that I haven't gotten any stretch marks - yay!

I was sent these products as part of the Preen.Me. VIP package compliments of Mustela.
All opinion are strictly my own.

Bump Update

I had the opportunity to get glammed up one afternoon with Jennifer Abercrombie Beauty.  She also snapped these photos afterwards.  She's an amazing makeup and hair artist, photographer and friend. She's done my hair and makeup before and I have to say she makes you feel so comfortable and pretty. Her new studio is GORGEOUS so for any of you ladies looking to get glammed up for a special event coming up, you should definitely give her a shout.  She's the sweetest!!

I had these photos taken at 27 weeks pregnant.  I am so glad I had this special time photographed to reflect and look back on.  After all, this is my last pregnancy and I cannot believe I am only two months and a few days away from having this baby boy. We can't wait to meet him and I can only imagine what he is going to look like.

I've had a lot of people ask me about his name.  We are still uncertain at this point but have a few in mind that are family names and or course Baby WDHIV has been at the top of our list.
I've also had a lot of questions about his nursery, am I having another c-section and also if we are worried that he will have the same eye condition as Isla Rose. His nursery is just getting started - I know - I can't believe it's taken us this long but I have been indecisive about how I want it to look.  I am scheduled to have another c-section with this baby as well - they say it gets easier each time.
As for the wonder and the worry about this baby having LCA's something I often think about but mostly pray about and I have learned to set the worry aside because we know in our hearts that this little boy is a blessing just as Isla Rose has been to us.

Here are just a few photos from my maternity shoot.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
