Spring Fashion Favorites with Nordstrom

I love how the tucics/tops are so versatile to wear over jeans or leggings. With all this crazy weather we've been having in the South, it's been warm enough to wear them.  You can wear them as a dress with booties or over a pair of jeans.  I've been wearing them over my maternity jeans lately and plan to wear them as a dress post baby.

I love these joggers and leggings.  The colors are SO fun plus they are so comfy. I just want to live in them every single day.  One of my favorites from these is the Lilac joggers. Every mama needs these in her life.

I've had a sneaker obsession lately. A few of my other favorites have been linked through my instagram if you follow along there.

A girl can never have too many accessories!  These are just a few favs.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Mustela Prenatal Skincare

I am in the home stretch of this pregnancy with only a little less than four weeks to go and I wanted to share with you what skincare reinforcements I have been relying on throughout this pregnancy.

I have used quite a few different skincare lines throughout each pregnancy and this time around I stuck to one brand using a few particular products from the line that have kept my skin and the bump feeling moisturized.  I have used Mustela Products on both of my children but I had not tried the skincare line for mamas so I was excited to give these a try throughout this pregnancy and I am so glad that I did.

A few things I love about this product line is the fact that they were developed in collaboration with pediatricians and dermatologists and the products are safe with natural ingredients and free of parabens.  I have been using the Stretch Mark Prevention Cream, the Bust Firming Serum, the Stretch Mark Prevention Oil and the Soothing Moisturizing Cream. All of which I've used on a daily basis morning and night.  I love the nice clean smell these products have and my husband loves the way they smell on me.  I really love the oil. I have severely dry skin so this has been a lifesaver for me.  It's also been good to use at night when I ask the hubby to rub me down when I've had these not so wonderful pregnancy aches and pains.  I seriously love him in those moments because I know at the end of the day he's tired from work and he is the one that really needs the rubdown!!
I plan to continue to use these products through my postpartum as my body gets back on track and back to normal.  This product line has truly made my skin feel refreshed, clean and super soft. The bonus is that I haven't gotten any stretch marks - yay!

I was sent these products as part of the Preen.Me. VIP package compliments of Mustela.
All opinion are strictly my own.

Bump Update

I had the opportunity to get glammed up one afternoon with Jennifer Abercrombie Beauty.  She also snapped these photos afterwards.  She's an amazing makeup and hair artist, photographer and friend. She's done my hair and makeup before and I have to say she makes you feel so comfortable and pretty. Her new studio is GORGEOUS so for any of you ladies looking to get glammed up for a special event coming up, you should definitely give her a shout.  She's the sweetest!!

I had these photos taken at 27 weeks pregnant.  I am so glad I had this special time photographed to reflect and look back on.  After all, this is my last pregnancy and I cannot believe I am only two months and a few days away from having this baby boy. We can't wait to meet him and I can only imagine what he is going to look like.

I've had a lot of people ask me about his name.  We are still uncertain at this point but have a few in mind that are family names and or course Baby WDHIV has been at the top of our list.
I've also had a lot of questions about his nursery, am I having another c-section and also if we are worried that he will have the same eye condition as Isla Rose. His nursery is just getting started - I know - I can't believe it's taken us this long but I have been indecisive about how I want it to look.  I am scheduled to have another c-section with this baby as well - they say it gets easier each time.
As for the wonder and the worry about this baby having LCA's something I often think about but mostly pray about and I have learned to set the worry aside because we know in our hearts that this little boy is a blessing just as Isla Rose has been to us.

Here are just a few photos from my maternity shoot.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Fall Family Pictures

We had our Fall family pictures done last month by BPosh Photography.
She is such a stylish mama and one of sweetest people I know.  She goes above and beyond to make our photo sessions run nice and easy and always goes the extra step when it comes to creativity and making the kiddos feel at ease.

We are forever grateful to have these moments captured to enjoy and look back on.
Much love and thanks for stopping by.

It's a BOY!!

We shared our gender news a few weeks ago about having a sweet BABY BOY.
We could not be more excited!!  Grant's excited over the fact that he will have a younger brother to hang out with and Isla's pretty exited about having a baby brother to love on.

We are well into my second trimester and things are going great and I am still feeling good.  We had our follow-up with the Women's Institute and everything came back normal which was a great relief to us.  Thank you to all have been keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.  It means the world to us!

Now that we know we are having a boy,  I've been SLOWLY gathering ideas and brainstorming his nursery. Hopefully, after the holidays, I will get more into my nesting phase and start working on pulling his nursery together.  Right now, I just want to enjoy the holiday chaos and this special time of year with our family. Here's a little sneak peak into what we have planned so far.

Overall, this pregnancy seems to be flying by.  I have had a lot of people ask if this is our last and the answer is YES.   This is it for our family so I am embracing this pregnancy knowing it is our last. It's a true blessing that we are adding this sweet baby boy to our family. I am nervous all over again and the emotions flow constantly. We cannot wait to meet him in March!!

We are so thrilled about Baby Hightower coming March 2017.
Since announcing our news on Instagram and Facebook,
I have not really taken the time up until now to write a little blog post about our exciting news.

After having Isla, we knew we wanted to start trying for another one right away. We tried for almost two years with some disappointments here and there but we didn't give up on the trying (ha). After Isla's third birthday back in May, we pretty much decided that our family of four was just what God intended for us to July we got the sweetest surprise that we were pregnant. We were so happy and nervous all over again. Feeling very blessed to say, our family of four will soon be a family of five.

Last week, we had out fetal scan at the Women's Institute and everything looked healthy and normal although there was a slight indicator near the baby's heart that they wanted to look at again.  They assured us that this is something that shows up often in pregnancies and to not worry too much over it since we had the Panarama natara pre-natal testing done earlier on in my pregnancy.  We go back to the Women's Institute in three more weeks to have another scan.  Please keep us in your prayers!

I am currently 20 weeks and finally feeling better.  I was pretty nauseous and had absolutely no energy my first trimester with this pregnancy. Now that I am into my second trimester, I am feeling so much more energized, motivated and starting to pop out of my "normal" clothes. I officially look preggo and have stared to incorporate new maternity gear into my wardrobe.  As for my cravings, I haven't had much of an appetite but I am hoping that will soon change.  For now, my biggest cravings are diet coke, caesar salads, and french fries.  Could be worse, right?

When we shared the news with Isla and Grant, they were so happy about the news of them both being a big brother and sister. Just the thought of them meeting their baby sibling for the first time gets me all choked up. Grant is already an awesome big brother and Isla will learn all about that title soon enough.  I know things will be chaotic at times, but I am so very excited to know the two biggest loves of my life will soon meet their baby brother/sister.

Thank you so much to each and every one of you that responded to our big news.
Your kind words and support mean so much to us.

PS - I'll be posting our gender news very soon.
