Happy Three Months: Isla Rose

Happy Three Months, Isla!
{Excuse the belated post}

On August 1st, you turned three months beautiful.
I cherish every moment, every day that I get to spend with you. Your chunky legs, your squishy cheeks, your double chin and your hearty giggle just light up my life. You have far outgrown the "newborn" baby look and have started to look like a real little human being with the sweetest personality. I love to stare at you. Not only do I feel blessed that you are my daughter, but also that I am your Mother and you make me feel complete. You are such a sweet, humble little darling and I am pretty sure it's safe to say that you get that honest from your Daddy. You are absolutely amazing......You are by far the best gift in our lives and your Daddy and I are so in love with you and your big brother Grant is so proud to call you his!  You make him giggle.

Isla Rose weighs 13 pounds, 11 ounces and is in the 95th percentile for her weight and length.  She's a chunky little monkey but we love it.  Breastfeeding is still going well and I am still substituting with ready to feed formula because I just cannot keep up the supply she demands but I am OK with that.
The best part of my whole day is the morning.  We finally have our little routine down and I love that she's on her own little schedule.  It's like she knows when it's sleepy time and when it's time to get up and start off a beautiful day. We love going for our morning walks or outings to the coffee shop, then coming back home for some tummy time.  After that, we just go with the flow.  Each day is different but our mornings seem to stay consistent and I love that because I am a morning person.
Isla Rose is still not quite sleeping in her crib yet.  She is doing just fine in her snuggle nest next to us.  I believe at 4 months, we will start her out in her crib. Right now, my husband and I enjoy it and have no problem with her being with us through the night.

She still loves to be held constantly. It's a security thing, I know, and we honestly love keeping her close to our hearts as much as possible.  We found that the BabyErgo has been the best for toting our little petunia around when she's not in her stroller or jogger. She also seems to get in one good, long  nap during the day and that usually in the morning around 9am for a few hours and then after that she seems to "cat nap".  Like I said, each day is different but she constantly amazes us with that gummy smile and giggle of hers. She makes our days so complete and I love the look on my husbands face when he comes home from work to see her.  Being parents is such an amazing feeling of completion.
Her Everyday Favorites:  Angel Bear, Sophie the Giraffe, Mucy Monkey, Sleep Sheep, Fisher Price Swing and MamaRoo.

Favorite Places to shop:  Target (of course), Baby Gap, Janie and Jack, The Pink Ruffle via Etsy, Peek Clothing at Nordstroms.

Happy Three Months!!
We love you so much.

& Big Brother Grant
