WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY

We are so thrilled about Baby Hightower coming March 2017.
Since announcing our news on Instagram and Facebook,
I have not really taken the time up until now to write a little blog post about our exciting news.

After having Isla, we knew we wanted to start trying for another one right away. We tried for almost two years with some disappointments here and there but we didn't give up on the trying (ha). After Isla's third birthday back in May, we pretty much decided that our family of four was just what God intended for us to have......well.........in July we got the sweetest surprise that we were pregnant. We were so happy and nervous all over again. Feeling very blessed to say, our family of four will soon be a family of five.

Last week, we had out fetal scan at the Women's Institute and everything looked healthy and normal although there was a slight indicator near the baby's heart that they wanted to look at again.  They assured us that this is something that shows up often in pregnancies and to not worry too much over it since we had the Panarama natara pre-natal testing done earlier on in my pregnancy.  We go back to the Women's Institute in three more weeks to have another scan.  Please keep us in your prayers!

I am currently 20 weeks and finally feeling better.  I was pretty nauseous and had absolutely no energy my first trimester with this pregnancy. Now that I am into my second trimester, I am feeling so much more energized, motivated and starting to pop out of my "normal" clothes. I officially look preggo and have stared to incorporate new maternity gear into my wardrobe.  As for my cravings, I haven't had much of an appetite but I am hoping that will soon change.  For now, my biggest cravings are diet coke, caesar salads, and french fries.  Could be worse, right?

When we shared the news with Isla and Grant, they were so happy about the news of them both being a big brother and sister. Just the thought of them meeting their baby sibling for the first time gets me all choked up. Grant is already an awesome big brother and Isla will learn all about that title soon enough.  I know things will be chaotic at times, but I am so very excited to know the two biggest loves of my life will soon meet their baby brother/sister.

Thank you so much to each and every one of you that responded to our big news.
Your kind words and support mean so much to us.

PS - I'll be posting our gender news very soon.
